How We Review

We buy everything ourselves

No free samples. No review units from brands. Every device on this site was purchased at retail price — from the same places you would buy it. We pay our own way because it's the only way to stay honest.

We measure with calipers, not rulers

Internal diameter, cage length, gap width, ring curvature, vent hole size. We measure every dimension that affects fit and comfort — not just the numbers listed on the product page, which are often wrong by 5–15mm.

We test over days, not minutes

A cage that feels fine for an hour might be unbearable after eight. Our testing protocol covers daytime wear, overnight wear, hygiene access, light exercise, and extended sitting. Because that's real life.

We score on five axes

Every device is rated on:

• Security — escape resistance, lock reliability
• Comfort — pressure distribution, overnight wearability
• Hygiene — cleaning access, material safety
• Value — price relative to build quality and longevity
• Fit Options — ring sizes available, adjustability

We say what not to buy

Every review includes honest downsides. Every ranking list tells you who should not buy each product. If a device has a fundamental flaw, we say so — even if it sells well.

What we don't do

• We never accept payment to write or modify a review.
• We never rank a product because of any commercial relationship.
• We never suppress negative findings.
• We never publish fabricated statistics or unverifiable claims.
